Welsh Cakes
Ingredients
- 125g Butter
- 2 cups SR Flour
- ¾ cup Sugar
- 2 teas Nutmeg
- 1 Egg, beaten with ½ teas Lemon & Vanilla essence
- ½ cup Sultanas
Procedure
Rub butter into dry mixture. Add eggs and sultanas. Roll out into biscuits. Cook in a greased frying pan.
Comments
Let the sultanas soak up the water before adding to mix so they are not dry in the cooked mix.
