Welsh Cakes

Ingredients

  • 125g Butter
  • 2 cups SR Flour
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 2 teas Nutmeg
  • 1 Egg, beaten with ½ teas Lemon & Vanilla essence
  • ½ cup Sultanas

Procedure

Rub butter into dry mixture. Add eggs and sultanas. Roll out into biscuits. Cook in a greased frying pan.

Comments

Let the sultanas soak up the water before adding to mix so they are not dry in the cooked mix.
