Fast-growing perennial herb with edible leaves.
Native to Southeast Asia, China, and Africa. Grows naturally in humid subtropical and tropical climates.
Used as a leaf vegetable.
Leaves can be eaten raw in salads, cooked in stir-fries, soups, and other dishes.
Plant in pots with loamy soil at least 10cm deep, or in true ground. Will grow by cuttings in partially shaded / protected areas of the garden (out of direct Townsville sun).

Seeds are not always produced. Propagation is typically done through cuttings.
